Our first stop was Bububu, close enough to take a taxi into Stone Town.
We stayed at Imani Beach Villa.
The four-poster bed was beautifully decorated.
A cosy nook where we enjoyed our breakfast.
Drinking Safari beer upstairs where we enjoyed dinner.
The villa is right on the beach.
The local kids were enchanted with Rheedan’s Phantom.
Women and children collect mussels at low tide.

Huppel dog and IÂ got along really well.
I guess the lovely moonboot securing my twisted ankle made me a kindred spirit.
