Changdeokgung Palace
Changdeokgung Palace is one of the nicest palaces in Korea,
demonstrating quintessential architecture from the Joseon period.
It was initially constructed in 1405, but was rebuilt in 1610.

Jungang Park, Busan
Jungang Park is a peaceful, tree filled park that overlooks Nampodong. The monument to fallen war heroes stands guard over incredible views over the sea and city.

Gamcheon Culture Village became a top photo-op stop after a bunch of students turned a slummy seaside village into a mural and graffiti covered residential area.

Living in South Korea has frequently provided me with various opportunities to shake out my old anthropology degree and try to look at the world with new eyes. One of the things that I find most unusual about Koreans is their understandings of authenticity.
